PADI DEEP DIVER
The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 18 metres, and on wall dives it may be a pod of Hammerheads hovering just below your 30 metre limit. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 metres you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.
The PADI Deep Diver course includes two parts:
- Knowledge Development – starting off with the Deep Diver manual we will provide to you, you will learn the key safety equipment, managing gas supply and narcosis and the dive planning and preparations necessary to make safe dives to the ocean depths! You will then review this and go into further detail throughout your training with an instructor.
- Open Water Dives – Over the course of 2 days you will conduct 4 open water dives with an instructor at the Mediterraneans best wreck site – the Zenobia! Covering skills such as setting up redundant gas supplies and deep diving equipment, managing no decompression limits and emergency decompression procedures.
- 15 years and above
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent from an alternative agency
- Good physical health – You will need to fill out a self certification medical statement. If you have any medical conditions you think may prevent you from scuba diving please feel free to contact us
