DAN Diving Emergency Management (DEMP) and DAN Diving Emergency Responder (DFR)

The DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) and the Diving First Responder Course (DFR) allows DAN Instructors to offer an integrated course that allows divers to learn the information and skills in DAN Training Programs, at a significant savings of time, but without sacrificing any skills.
Training
- The DAN Diving Emergency Management provider course combines the Oxygen Provider, AED and HMLI courses
- The DAN Diving First Responder course also includes the skills and knowledge from the Advanced Oxygen Provider course
Prerequisites
Student level:
- A DAN Basic Life Support provider or equivalent qualification is required
Instructor level:
- The Instructor Candidate must have completed the Instructor Qualification course (IQC) and the following –
- Be a certified and active scuba diving Instructor (or Divemaster/Assistant Instructor with current CPR training)
- Be a current DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries Instructor
- Have current training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Have documentation of first aid training
- Be a current DAN Member
