The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is the most popular diver specialty course and the number of technical divers is on the rise, which means that lots of scuba divers want enriched air and gas blends. The Tec Gas Blender course teaches you to blend enriched air nitrox and helium-blend gases using one or more blending methods.

How do I begin?

You start with the training materials. We will provide you with and PADI Tec Gas Blender manual so you can do all your studying at home before you come to Cyprus.

What's in the course?

The PADI Tec Gas Blender course includes three practical application sessions, but no dives. During independent study and instructor-led review, you learn:

  • About the advantages and disadvantages of different blending methodologies.
  • To blend enriched air and Trimix blends to within one percent of the target mix.
  • About the potential hazards related to handling oxygen, and how to manage those risks.
  • To demonstrate the steps for oxygen cleaning equipment, along with the requirements for oxygen service.

How long does it take?

The PADI Tec Gas Blender course or Gas Blender Instructor course takes 1 -1.5 days.

What qualifications do I need?

For the PADI Tec Gas Blender Course you need to be over 18yrs and a PADI Enriched Air diver or equivalent.

For the PADI Tec Gas Blender Instructor course you have to be 18yrs, a PADI Enriched Air Instructor or equivalent and a PADI Tec Gas Blender or equivalent

Cost?

PADI Tec Gas Blender (Nitrox) course costs €170.00 including manual and certification, a further €170.00 is payable for the Trimix level. PADI Tec Gas Blender Instructor costs €500.00 excluding materials and PADI registration fees.
