SDI Wreck Diver

Wreck diving can be one of the most exciting aspects of sport diving, however every effort must be made to maximise safe diving techniques. The SDI Wreck Diver Course will discuss the equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving. This course may be taught as a non-penetration, 2 dives required, or as a limited-penetration course, requiring 3 dives. Limited-penetration is defined as a swim through or within the ambient light of entry point.

How do I begin?

You start with the training materials. We will provide you with an SDI Wreck diver online code so you can do all your studying at home before you come to Cyprus.


What's in the course?

You will learn more about the wreck diving including:

  • Researching wrecks
  • Mapping wrecks
  • Proper use of lines while wreck diving
  • Exploring underwater history

How long does it take?

The SDI Wreck course takes about 1 day for the 2 dive course or 1.5 days for the 3 dive course once you have completed the online theory.

What qualifications do I need?

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent, or current enrolment in one of those courses.

The minimum age of enrolment on this programme is 15yrs for the 3 day course and 10yrs for the 2 day course.
