SDI Drysuit Diver

The SDI Drysuit Diver Course will open up a whole new world of diving to you. Many of the diving environments around the world are better experienced in a drysuit. Why? These areas have an abundance of marine life waiting to be seen and photographed – they just happen to be a little colder! Dry suits are also used in tropical water during the cooler months.

This course allows the student to develop the knowledge and skills to properly use a dry suit. It will discuss the types of drysuits, accessories, maintenance and how to make basic repairs.

How do I begin?

You start with the training materials. We will provide you with an SDI Drysuit Diver online code so you can do all your studying at home before you come to the dive centre.

What's in the course?

Your SDI Instructor will teach you:

  • Selection of a dry suit
  • Care and maintenance
  • Emergency procedures
  • Proper weighting
  • Buoyancy control

How long does it take?

The SDI Drysuit Diver course takes 2 dives (1 day).

What qualifications do I need?

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent

All standard scuba equipment requirements are included in the price.

The minimum age of enrolment on this programme is 12yrs.

You will need to fill out a self certification medical statement. If you have any medical conditions you think may prevent you from scuba diving please feel free to contact us and we will try to be of assistance.

What's next?

You SDI Drysuit Diver course takes just 1 day which then gives you more time to explore the wreck of the Zenobia. Once you have completed your SDI Drysuit Diver course and the Zenobia dives take place from a boat why not take the SDI Wreck diver course or SDI Computer Nitrox course too, both are available online so maximizing your time in the water.

Cost?

The SDI Drysuit course is 2 dives and costs €283.00 including materials and certification. Kit/Drysuit hire is not included.
