Diving below the 18 metres / 60 feet limit that has become the standard for open water divers, opens up a different world, where undisturbed shipwrecks, unexplored caves, and tropical reefs teaming with life of unimaginable colour and form are the norm. The old-school way to earn Deep Diver specialty rating involved long hours in the classroom, pouring over books and charts and complex tables. No more. Through SDI's on-line training program, you can complete most of the required academic study online in the comfort and convenience of your home or office. And, as with all SDI programs, you'll dive deep the modern way, using personal dive computers and modern techniques and you will earn your new rating by diving and having fun with your SDI instructor

How do I begin?

You start with the training materials. We will provide you with and SDI Deep Diver online code so you can do all your studying at home before you come to Cyprus.

How to plan and execute dives that are outside the range of depths that are experienced during an SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course, and more!

  • Equipment needed for deep diving
  • Physics and physiology of deep diving
  • Emergency procedures for deep diving and first aid


How long does it take?

The SDI Deep Diver course takes 2 dives (1 day).

What qualifications do I need?

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent

All standard scuba equipment requirements are included in the price.

The minimum age of enrolment on this programme is 10yrs.

Divers between the age of 10 and 15 cannot exceed 21 metres

You will need to fill out a self certification medical statement. If you have any medical conditions you think may prevent you from scuba diving please feel free to contact us and we will try to be of assistance.

What's next?

You SDI Deep Diver course takes just 1 day which then gives you more time to explore the wreck of the Zenobia. Once you have completed your SDI Deep Diver and the Zenobia dives take place from a boat why not take the SDI Wreck diver course or SDI Computer Nitrox course too, both are available online so maximizing your time in the water.
